 For your consideration is a VERY NICE example of a Hitchcock style decorated side chair that has it's original undisturbed decoration and in very good condition. I found this at a local mall and I will ship for free to entice you! 
 
Size: 33.5" high, 16.5" seat width 17" seat height
 
Materials Construction and Condition: The chair is constructed of Pine and maple, black and red grained background with original stencil gold decoration on the tablet. side back supports and hand hold at the top of the chair. Seat is old  replacement, most likely pre 1950 , the front stile is held on with early iron tacks which are a little loose but can be secured.  The side stops on the front rail are missing.  I have sat in the chair and it is sturdy. Great value!  
 
Date: I would date the chair from 1820 to 1840
