Vintage Antique lever action tin toy Car ... Works!

This is a great little vintage car, with a lever action on the running board of the "passenger" side. It works great!

The car measures 6 ½" in length, 3 3/4" in width at the widest point (fender-to-fender) and 4 1/4" high.

A lantern hangs near the passenger side.....amazing that it is intact after all of these years. The lantern is missing from the driver's side although the mounting for the lantern is still attached.

This car has a moveable steering wheel, and red front and rear seats. As you can see from the photographs, there are a lot of cute painted details. There are some areas of rust and worn paint, but the car is in very good condition considering its age.

"JAPAN" appears in capital letters on the rear above the license plate. There are no other identifying maker's marks. There are similar tin vehicles listed elsewhere on eBay, but all of them have the name of manufacturing companies, suggesting that this car may be an "original" whereas others are more recent reproductions.

This car would make a great addition to the collection of anyone with an interest in early tin toys or antique toy vehicles.
