A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
Those familiar with O Scale passenger car kits know quite well that among the handful of U.S. kit manufacturers that maintained exceptionally high standards for accuracy and quality engineering, few could surpass American Standard. These same people could tell you that when properly assembled, the kits easily compete with some of the most impressive brass imports. Sadly, American Standard heavy weight car model production ceased 15 years ago and when these kits, new in box like the one up for auction, are sighted it is indeed an unusual find. It is also unusual to find them offered for anything less than $100. Finally, this is a craftsman kit that requires knowledge of joinery and finishing. Note that trucks are not included.
This kit appears to be complete, but as with all kits I offer I cannot garantee this. I do garantee that it is as shown in the photos. Please examine them carefully before bidding.

Unless other arrangements are made, full payment is expected within 7 days of sale. Per eBay policy, the only payment methods I can offer are PayPal or cash-in-hand. SHIPPING
I consider it unethical (and just low down sneaky!) to use shipping and handling as a profit base!
As eBay no longer allows me to offer optional shipping insurance, I have increased my shipping estimates - insurance is included on all items selling for $100 or more. These are the MAXIMUM AMOUNTS, actual shipping cost may be less. You will pay only the actual shipping costs, and I WILL REFUND ANY EXCESS SHIPPING PAID! (International refunds through PayPal only.) Insurance will be included on all shipments valued at $100 or more. Unless you request otherwise, I will specify shipping by USPS PRIORITY MAIL. You are free to request an alternate method, including UPS and personal pickup or delivery (see below).
OUTSIDE USA - A nominal $1.00 service charge will be added to all international shipments. I will ship anywhere that USPS allows, but the buyer is responsible for ALL shipping costs, customs fees, etc. You should check your local customs regulations! Some countries charge significantly different duties for "toys" versus "craft" items. I will also declare most items as "Secondhand Goods", and reduce the declared value to a reasonable level, but I WILL NOT declare any item a gift! International shipments are insured through Auctiva, which covers purchase price plus shipping costs.
First Class Internationalis available on shipments of 4 lbs or less. This service does not provide tracking or delivery confirmation - INSURANCE IS REQUIRED.
DELIVERY/PICKUP: I am located in Somerville, New Jersey. I will personally deliver locally for the same cost as priority mail, or you may also arrange to pick up your item in person andavoid all shipping charges. For longer distances, I will personally deliver any item for a flat rate of 55 cents per mile, round trip, door to door as determined by MapquestTM, plus personal expenses on longer trips. Finally, if you wish to make all of your own shipping arrangements, I will deliver to the local Kinko's at no charge.
