by Jennifer Twomey Perello Where is Blue's favorite place to play in the summer? Can you draw your answer to Blue's Clues? Bring your own crayon and have some real book-fun!
This activity board book is based on the wildly-popular TV series for preschoolers. It's designed to be used again and again; just wipe the pages clean with draw tissue when you're finished - and they'll be as good as new.
Due to the visual nature of this particular title, it's only recommended for sighted or visually impaired children with enough vision to draw a picture. However, all the text instructions have been transcribed into Braille, meaning that there's no reason in the world why a blind parent or caregiver can't work on the little assignments with youngsters. If you've been in the market for braille board books very long, you'll know how difficult it is to find simple activity books that Braille-reading adults can do together with children who can see - and that's what makes this book so special!
For ages 2 to 5.
Note: all of our Braille board books feature the full-color pictures and illustrations - just like those you'd find in your local bookstore. To make it so everyone can enjoy these fun titles together, we've simply added a clear plastic overlay to each page, so blind readers can read the Braille at the same time sighted folks read the print and look at the pictures! Thus, our collection of brailled board books is perfect for both blind parents with sighted children, and also sighted parents with blind or visually impaired kids. And of course, this book is brand-new, so has no bent pages, gnarled corners, or any of those tell-tale signs that little hands have already been at it!
As for shipping, it's FREE. Since this is a Braille book for the blind, we can send it via FREE MATTER FOR THE BLIND through the good old post office. Remember that FREE MATTER packages do take a week or two to be delivered within the continental U.S. or Canada, so the shipping time isn't lightning fast - but the cost is sure right! (One quick note: the free shipping is only an option if you yourself are blind, or are purchasing this item for someone who cannot see. If you are sighted and are just curious about Braille, etc., you'll need to add $4.75 for paid ground shipping. Thanks for your honesty in doing the right thing!) And of course, we'll get your order in the mail the day after we receive your payment. If you're outside North America, the free shipping is available for you, too. But since FREE MATTER packages go with all the surface mail, they take four to eight weeks to get to Europe and two or three months to reach Australia. If you'd prefer to pay for Airmail shipping (so you can get your parcel in a week or two), the cost would be $6.15 - no matter where in the world you are. And if you'd like to buy more than one of our items, just email me for a combined shipping quote. Confused about something? Got a question about this item you want answered - right now? Feel free to send us an email, or give us a call any time at 1-800-987-1231. All of us here at BrailleBooks.com are nice, friendly people, and we'll be happy to help you any way we can. Thanks for looking, and happy eBaying! - Craig. |
