The Dock-N-Talk™ can also be used with Bluetooth equipped cell phones.  The PhoneLabs Bluetooth Module BT03 allows a wireless Bluetooth connection to your cell phone without the need to connect with a cable.  Any time you walk into to your home or office your cell phone will be automatically connected to the Dock-N-Talk™ and instantly ready to make or receive calls using your wireless service.  When you leave, the Bluetooth Module will automatically disconnect.

An important new feature of the latest Bluetooth Module allows the user to pair up to 8 phones to the same Bluetooth Module. However, only one cell phone at a time can be actively connected to the Bluetooth Module. The new Bluetooth module can be identified by the model number of BT03 on the back label.

*Since August of 2008, Phone Labs is offering a new Bluetooth Module, the BT03, which provides the latest Class 1 Bluetooth 2.0 advanced features and extended range (Class 1) of 300' or more and is supported by the Dock-N-Talk™ and the Enterprise Telephone™ firmware with versions 1.XX and above.
DO NOT BUY this Module BT03 if your Dock-N-Talk firmware version is 0.XX.
If you still like to buy this module BT03, you will need to reprogram your existing DNT (PhoneLabs Fee apply) or buy Module BT01 to avoid any problems and extra cost.

IMPORTANT BLUETOOTH INFORMATION

 

Former 0.XX firmware versions of the Dock-N-Talk™ and Enterprise Telephone™ will not be compatible with the new BT03 Bluetooth Module. However, all the prior versions of the Bluetooth Modules will continue to be compatible with the newest firmware versions.


The maximum effective range of the prior Bluetooth Module BT01 is 30 ft and for the BT03 is 300 ft or more but can be less depending on the levels of competing radio frequency interference.


Bluetooth devices transmit and receive in the 2.4Ghz frequency spectrum. There can be interference issues with using a Bluetooth device in the same area as 2.4Ghz cordless phones hybrid 5.8 Ghz cordless phones and Wi-Fi 802.11b & 802.11g, which also operate on the 2.4Ghz frequency. Since 2.4Ghz and hybrid 5.8 Ghz cordless phones and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g use high power signals in the same 2.4Ghz frequency, they can interfere with lower power devices such as Bluetooth.

For best results when using other 2.4Ghz devices, keep those devices as far away as possible from the Dock-N-Talk™ and cell phone.
