Original UK-pressing from 1977 on ISLAND records,ILPS 9491.Contains the original black innersleeve and the 1977 ISLAND catalogue-insert.Recorded in Tangier,Morocco,November 1976.

Master-drummer Reebop Kwaku Baah teams up with members of the Ganoua,an ancient mystical sect of North African Dervish,whose music is believed to have magical and healing powers.The Ganoua musicians used instruments which have remained unchanged for hundreds of years,including the Gimbri(a three-stringed lute made from wood and leather),Cocobars(iron castanets),Bindir(a tambourine drum),stone-drum and flute.The tracks are performed by a 3- to 5-piece line-up.The title-track takes the whole first side!

Condition:the record looks and plays in mint-.The cover has intact seams/spine with some rub,there’s slight shelf- and cornerwear,overall ex-.The black innersleeve and the catalogue are in mint-.

Grading:this used record has been cleaned on a prof. cleaning machine.After that I playgraded it on a Rega Planar 9 with a Rega Super Elys moving magnet system and I also visually graded the record under a strong light.I give you a detailed description of both gradings.Only an unplayed record is mint,the highest grading for a used record is mint-! My basic gradings are:mint-ex-vg.As a free service,cleaned records are stored in a brandnew deluxe innersleeve and the cover will be placed in a brandnew PVC protection-sleeve!
