MUNKATCH SCHONFELD SURVIVOR HOLOCAUST SHOA JUDAICA JEWS

This book was written by a Holocaust survivor, Zvi Elimelech Schonfeld of Munkatchevo Chechoslavakia. In 1944, the Jews of Munkatsch ghetto wee transported to Auschwitz, where his wife, a daughter and 2 sons wee taken directly to the gas chambers. He was sent to a forced work camp. When the Russians advanced towards Auschwitz, all who could walk were ordered by the Germans to assemble for  a march to a safer destination. Distrustful, and convinced that he would be shot anyway, Rabbi Schonfeld went into hiding and was liberated by the Russians when they came into Munkatzh. The Rabbi passed a way recently and his wife told me to take his book and try to get for it whatever I can. She also told me that after the war, Rabbi Schonfeld went back to his hometown to see what remained from his previous lifetime. Everything was destroyed. All he found were a few religious books in the courtyard of the Munkatsch shule/ shtibel / klaus which he brought with him to Russia. When he made Aliyah to Israel in 1972, they had to pay exorbitant amounts of money in order to take these religious books with them. (Some of these books I have in my possession).

He later wrote down his thoughts about the Holocaust from a Torah perspective. These essays are what this book are all about. They discuss issues such as the relationship between Jews and non-Jews, as they relate in an ongoing struggle as the arch types of Esau & Jacob, belief in G-d after the Holocaust, Faith, Cain & Abel, and much more.

The title of this book is: A TORAH PERSPECTIVE ON THE HOLOCAUST: TO FATHOM DARKNESS 1940-1945: by a survivor. Rabbi ZE Schonfeld. Translated by Dr Zvi Faier. Hardcover, 121 pages, 1983, excellent

mint condition. This book is based on the author's original work in hebrew Torath Chessed. It also has a recommendation by the then Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Ovadia Yossef.

Postage is $5.50 from Israel.

Also, please see my various Ebay guides on FAKE HOLOCAUST items such as concentration camp armbands and prisoner uniforms being sold on the net. Unscrupulous internet sellers have been trying to remove me from Ebay because they feel threatened by my guides. YOUR VOTE on my guides and book reviews can help more people learn about these fakes. PLEASE help me by voting on my guides, thanks!
