These Vintage jeans from the LVC collection
are a perfect reproduction made by Levis of the 1947 501XX jean. They have a relaxed fit through the seat and leg. Limited and were only available in a few select shops across the world. Now deadstock and no longer available. They are made on the original loom from Cone Mills used in 1947 and have all of the original features, which include:
Distressed stitching & slightly uneven stitching authentic to the 1947 Style on the back pockets, Redline Selvage, XX dual ringspun denim from Cone Mills, Concealed back pocket rivets, Selvage in the coin pocket, Orange and pale yellow stitching, "Big E" red tab, Leather 2 horse label, V stitch, button fly, whiskering, 5 pockets w/front logo button closure & Button fly w/5 signature buttons.
EVERY 5 YEARS LEVI'S MAKES AROUND 500 PAIRS OF THESE JEANS SO THEY ARE EXTREMELY LIMITED.
Modeled on an actual 1947 jean in the Levi Archive in San Francisco. Made in the USA where the best Levis jeans were made by the best Levi jeans-makers and by the original looms! You will not see 1 in your size for a very LOOOOONG TIME....Buy it now before someone else does.

This is a vintage reproduction. With all true vintage, shrinkage may vary between garments. Please review the actual size as this is the true size and I do not take returns or exchanges once shipped. Please compare the actual waist size and inseam to jeans that fit you well from your closet to be sure. So even though the tag reads a higher size they are truly a 35 inch waist x 31 inseam. The rise on these is 12 inches. *I also have this same jean where the actual size is a 35.5 x 31.5 listed in my Ebay store.

Button Fly, Classic Straight Leg LVC 1947 Big E 501 Jeans
The 1947 version has been hailed as the definitive five-pocket jean. During the war several key features were removed from Levis to save on metal and fabric. Once fighting was over and the restrictions imposed on wartime manufacturing had been lifted, the 1947 501XX was in huge demand
The trademark stitching with a double-needle machine gave them the characteristic "diamond" shape at the point where the two lines meet. The original Levi's zinc buttons were back and belt loops became standard issue. The 1947 model's after World War II details include the copper rivets that returned after wartime restrictions were lifted. The finish replicates patches of wear including random hand done extreme distressing, hand fraying, repaired stitching and patches, wrinkle fade effect & creasing on perfectly worn in amazingly soft cotton Red Line SELVAGE Denim.
The Redline selvage runs from top to bottom in the inside of the outside leg seam. Before 1983, Levi's used narrow-loom XX denim made by Cone Mills in North Carolina. In the early 20th century, Cone added a colored stitch line to the denim's selvage to identify different grades of denim. Red identified top grade denim.
There is incredible attention to detail on this limited highly sought after LEVI's LVC Red Line reproduction. It is obvious when sporting these that you are wearing a premium priced item. Sure to be one of your favorite pieces for years to come.
