The CoVi™ Technologies, Inc. EVQ-1000™ is a High-Definition (HD) color video camera that employs a ½-inch CMOS (Complimentary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) image sensor. The camera’s solid-state imaging device has a maximum 1280 x 720 pixels and is equipped with a unique CoVi-designed digital signal processor (DSP) for processing the video signal. This provides modes that are scalable from:

  • Output 1— Full field view with up to three Zoom Under Pictures (ZUP™)
  • Output 2—ZUP 1, ZUP 2, and ZUP 3 or HD output

The camera’s 16-bit image processing better matches the dynamic range of film when compared to CCDs (charge-coupled devices).  The EVQ-1000 is a High Definition (HD), High Dynamic Range (HDR), MultiView™ (MV), and Electronic Pan/Tilt/Zoom (EPTZ) analog fixed camera with indoor/outdoor and day/night/low-light capabilities. The camera operates on all existing coaxial cabling, UTP and fiber.

  • Servo-controlled infrared (IR) block for all light conditions, day and night
  • Superior sensitivity to IR illumination, high resolution, and image clarity under no-light conditions using IR illuminators
  • Easy-to-use CAMU utilities (for camera set-up) for Microsoft® Windows® XP, Windows 2000, and Microsoft Windows for Pocket PC 2003
  • Zoom-magnification user adjustable; full-screen zoom of any ZUP; built-in privacy zone
  • Output 1 and Output 2 interchange
  • RS-485 control of IR auto, lock-in, lock-out
  • RS-485 ZUP presets and recall
  • Output 2 assignment, independent of ZUPs
  • Field-upgradeable software with either a laptop or PDA*Remote management of camera settings (white-balance, backlight compensation, auto exposure, color saturation, gamma correction)
  • Accepts standard C-type (with included 5mm adapter) or CStype ½” lens; auto-iris lenses not required
