Summary: Jeff lives on Golden Ridge Farm, where, to his father, horses are prize winning possessions, and only palominos are allowed on the farm. The unexpected arrival of a dark brown hunter makes a dream come true for Jeff, who wants a horse he can love, that will be a companion, and used for cross-country riding. But it brings a long standing conflict with his father into the open, with his palominos only rule.
Condition: The interior is bright, with just a few small stray marks. There are several corner creases, no tears, and the only writing is a former owner’s name written along the side of the inside of the front cover. The inside of both covers and the free endpapers have browning and shadowing. The top page edge surface, viewed when the book is closed, has dark foxing. The spine is straight, the hinges are very good, and the book can wiggle just a bit. The edges have very light wear. The corners have light rubbing, and one bottom corner is thickened and turns in. The back cover has some discoloration from foxing. The front and spine are very good. The spine ends are folded, with light rubbing.
