Amy Kahn Russell Black Onyx and Brass-toned Frog Pin/Pendant This unusual AKR pin/pendant features an ornately detailed shield-shaped panel of brass or goldplated metal with a tribal feel. A 3-dimensional Brass-toned frog sits above. At the top is a 1/2" diameter shiny Black Onyx cabochon. The black of the stone accents the dark oxidizing in the brass-toned metal pieces. The pin clasp operates smoothly and is oriented vertically. The large bale will accommodate your own silk cord or chain up to 1/8" diameter. The pin/pendant measures 3-1/2" overall length x 1-5/8" wide (at the widest point) and the stones are set into sterling silver bezels. The piece is wonderful condition, but please note there is an area on the shield piece where the brass tone is rubbed to a darker grey (to the right side in the photos). This artist utilizes natural stones and 'found' objects in her designs and variations are to be expected. This piece weighs 43 grams. Includes the AKR signature card, but not a hangtag listing the stones. The pendant is signed on the reverse with AKR and Sterling. The AKR pieces are from my personal collection and are gently worn and lovingly stored. The other jewelry pieces that I have for sale are from regional estate auctions.
