If I Could Ride -written by Caroline Akrill. Copyright 1979, first edition. Hardcover with DJ, published by Hodder and Stoughton. The book measures approximately 5¾ x 8¾ inches, and is 144 pages long. It is illustrated by Elisabeth Grant. This is an extremely hard to find title that is part of the “showing” trilogy along with Caroline Canters Home, and I’d Rather Not Gallop.
Summary: Caroline is convinced to come and join her cousins at their stud farm, but when she gets there she finds that it has been hit by a viral infection, most of the mares are barren, and their breeding business is finished. They decide to run a riding center instead, and want Caroline to remain with them. She finds that she enjoys teaching, but has to decide if this is what she wants for a career.

Please bookmark my list and check back often during the week. Throughout the fall I will be selling several hundred horse books. Each week will have a large variety from highly desired authors and illustrators. There will be several sets of fiction series from the UK that were never available in the USA. Books will range in condition from poor copies still valued for their artwork and story, to excellent condition copies from my private library that have only been read once. Many will be ex-library books which may include any or all of the following: Pocket, slip, bar code, stamps, stickers, spine markings, or signs of the removal or partial removal of such markings. I will do my best to describe the books as well as I can, but do not check every page of every book, so I expect that some flaws might pass through unnoticed. I am not an expert on the correct terms to use and how to grade condition. Feel free to ask any questions you would like before bidding. I am available to return email several times a day. Check my feedback, and bid with confidence, YOUR SATISFACTION IS GUARANTEED! Please contact me immediately if there is a problem with your item, and I will do my best to make it right.
