HERE'S HOW - First Edition. First Printing. Mint Condition. Compiled and Edited by W. C. Whitfield. Decorated by Tad Shell. Published by Three Mountaineers, Inc. at Asheville, N.C. Copyrighted 1941 by Three Mountaineers, Inc. Book is 9 6/8" x 9 3/8". 80 Pages. The Cover is a clever screen-printed embossed wood with copper hinges and leather cording at the spine. Glassine front end paper.

The inside pages are illustrated with black and white drawings, including a few politically incorrect caricatures of African-Americans. Directions on how to make a vast array of cocktails, alcoholic beverages, mixed drinks and info on bartending. Chapters include Essay on Moden Art of Mixing Drinks; Highballs, the Collins and Rickey Families; Well-Dressed Drinks; Food for Drinks - Not Thought (milk-based or egg-based libations); Cocktails and Party Mixes. Drinks (2) with Absinthe are also part of the mix. There is a Glassware Chart and 'Points to Remember.' Line drawn illustrations throughout by Tad Shell. More than 250 receipes for mixed drinks. Some very unique. A Superb Copy of an Unusual Piece of Mixology.

PICTURED is the Front Cover, Glassine End Paper, 1st Page & a somewhat incomplete scan of 2 inside pages. To have scanned more would have ruined the integrity of the book.
