DIVINITY by Jan for Bunnies by the Bay 1997 #190

Thank you for stopping by to view my auction of Bears of Yester Year from a private collection.

  • 12 Inches
  • 5/8" long, sparse white mohair
  • Medium packed with poly fil and poly pellets
  • Five way wood disc jointed
  • Brown glass eyes with black pupil
  • Same fabric paw pads
  • Embroidered nose and mouth
  • Slight Hump on back
  • Arms slightly curved
  • Fleece sleeveless dress with faux pearl beads, crocheted lace trim, matching 3/4 length hooded jacket with faux fur trim, ribbon tie.
  • Tush tag, hang tag, sewn in jacket tag

Bunnies by the Bay is still in business.  According to their web site they are now making baby clothes and plush soft toys only.  I do not know if she is #190 of their total creations or if she was #190 in their Fall/Winter offering for 1997.

This bear and clothes were washed with Woolite.  The bears face was trimmed and plucked to reveal her

beauty since the mohair was going in a forward direction and also covering her eyes.  Upon undressing the bear I saw that one safety joint was 1/3 of the way exposed and her feet turned sideways.  She has had three joints replaced with traditional cotter pin disc. The previous hole was sewn, sealed and reinforced with felt or ultra suede.  Her right arm is safety jointed.  Her head is hardboard disc and cotter.

This bear would do best with a doll stand.  I only have one for photographs, so I cannot include it.  I fray checked the raw edges of her ears which are sewn on forward facing.   I believe the embroidery knot from her features is what you see slightly under the fabric on the right side of her muzzle.  That should cover it.

She is a very charming bear orphan looking forward to many more years to come.

Not intended as a toy for very young children.

I accept Pay Pal only within five (5) working days of end of auction. Thanks.
