You are bidding on a lightly toned very nice circulated 1919C Newfoundland 25 Cents. I grade the coin EF45. The coin has a great strike with full details on the obverse and reverse with hints of mint luster in the protected areas. 

I graded professionally for 2+ years and I have worked with NGC, PCGS, and ICCS for over 11 years. I have a good understanding of all these companies standards. I have attended numerous educational programs from ANA, PCGS, and NGC, and I have about 70 reference books about grading coins and paper money grading. I am in the process of going through the thousands of quality Canadian, Mexican, Cuban, and UK coins to choose which one I wish to ship to PCGS, NGC, and ICCS for grading. In the next several months or so I will be putting up for auction the raw coins I am not sending to ICCS. These coins are not all low end example and clearly indicate problem coins and give you a description of the damages.

eBay is changing their policy regarding the optional choice on insurance by the winner of an auction. I believe it to be a good change, since the optional choice of insuring the shipping of an item has caused quite a few problems for me, and I am sure eBay has received many complaints regarding this plan.

I have been advise by eBay to roll the additional insurance or shipping charges into the price of the item I am shipping. This is very difficult for me to do, since many of the items I sell are less then the shipping charge. If I rolled in an additional charge to you no one would be interest in bidding on my offerings.

Therefore, insurance for domestic shipping is now required in my auctions. I wish I could continue to offer free shipping, but rarely does anyone choose the optional insurance to protect the lost of their item in the mail. They would rather complain to PayPal which means I must refund your bid price, even if I shipped the item with the understanding that the buyer assumed the responsibility for the shipping by not choosing to insure the item.

Under the new system I am willing to split the cost of shipping and insurance for domestic shipping which will cost the buyer $2.50 no matter the cost of the item.

Under PayPal system I am unable to insure international shipping, however, they do offer free tracking of your package and they assume covering any losses. due to shipping errors under the Buyer Protection Plan. Since they only offer Priority Flat rate shipping, the charge to you the buyer is $5.00 if we split the cost. Yet, this does offer protection under the PayPal plan if you are a verified PayPal user.

Therefore, all domestic shipping will be sent via US First Class Mail which includes insurance for the flat rate of $2.50, no matter the cost of the winning item. All international shipping will be sent via US International Priority Flat Rate Mail which will included a tracking number that allows you to recover your funds through PayPal if you are a verified member with buyer protection will be flat rate of $5.00.

All Shipping either domestic or international will be the same flat rate no matter how many items you have won.

I will still offer the most secure shipping optional US Registered shipping to those that request this service for a charge of $13.85 for both domestic and international customers. Please contact me if you wish this service an I will send a modified invoice
