NO RESERVE auction for a pair of 1940s Ludwig and Ludwig White Marine Pearl toms, 13"x9" and 16" diameter floor tom with 13.5" depth (weird). Bought these and made a cool old funky set with them, but I need to sell them to free up some room in my garage. Bottom line is that these are great sounding drums, I used them for gigging around, nice players drums (they have flaws, but are fun to play). Condition: Both drums have original calf heads, except for bottom head of floor tom. Top head of 13" is broken but tacked bottom head is in good playable condition. The wrap has flaws on both drums, but the color has turned to a nice creamy WMP. The 13" wrap has a rash, and the 16" wrap is cracked and slightly peeling on one side. The shells are great - nice maple, in round, bearing edges smooth, good overall structural integrity, great tone. The 13" tom is dates 45-2 (which I assume is Feb. 1945). They both have "Sep. T .020 Pearl" stamped in them. The hoops on the 16" floor tom are Slingerland Radio Kings (engraved - see photo), they seem to be in good condition. Nickel plated lugs, need polishing, no rust. Most of the clips that hold the 16" hoops are original, some are mismatch, but work. The 13" will need new ones, there is only one or two that are in workable shape (or you can use a normal 13" hoop). The legs on the floor tom are homemade, but work fine. See photos, they will tell the story. Please ask questions, I tried to describe as accurately as possible. Paypal only, US shipping only. USPS Parcel Post or UPS Ground (1-6 day). Thanks for looking!
