                             ~ 1817 Large Cent Penny ~

Up for consideration is a U.S. 1817 large cent penny.  After the passing of my father-in-law, my husband & I had the task of cleaning out his home & while doing so we came across quite an extensive coin collection.  With economical times being as they are, we are forced to auction it off.  With that said, please keep in mind that I am clueless in the world of coin collecting ( thought I'd add that cuz I know the questions will come & I will do my best to answer but again, I'm pretty clueless).   In my opinion the pics came out light.  The coin is quite dark in color.  This coin has great visible detail considering its age!
