Hermann German Teddy Bear Pink Mohair Limited Edition

Hermann German Teddy Bear produced this gorgeous pale pink mohair Teddy Bear in 1994.  Rosanna is the Annual Bear of 1994.  This is the manufacturer's Limited Edition produced only in 1994.  The bear is jointed with movable arms and legs.  The mohair is a pale pink and the paws is made out of satin in pink.  Rosanna wears a beautiful large pink ribbon adorned with a pink rose.

Here is a little history which is on the bear's label:

The Hermann Teddy bear was born in 1913 on October 24. The two brothers Artur and Max and their sister Adelheid began with the manufacture of their first Hermann Teddy Bear in a small village called Neufang nestled in the mountains of Thuringia near the town of on Sonneberg which was at that tie the Toy Capital of the World.  In 1920 Max Hermannn founded his own Teddy Bear company.  He moved to the town Sonneberg, where he developed a renowned name.  His Teddy Bears were exported around the globe.

After the WWII Germany was divided into East and West.  With the escalation of the cold war and the merging Communist Regime in East Germany Max Hermann fled from Sonneberg / Thuringia which was located in the East to the West.  In Coburg / Bavaria he started a new and continued the old tradition of his Teddy Bears.  His son Rolf-G.-Hermann is the today's president of this old German Teddy Bear company which is now named Hermann-Spielwaren GmbH, Coburg. -------------
