Vintage Antique Collectible Wholesale 9 Book Lot Rare !

Format: Hardcover

These books are in Good and Acceptable Reading Copy condition  I will be describing them from left to right. The pictures are also from left to right showing the dates and publisher if available in each book. The last two photos in the group are showing book #1 the cover of the German English 1877 New Testament no longer attached and the cracking spine of the 3rd book called Medieval and Modern History.

The last photo was taken to show the condition of the tops of each book and my descriptions will start from left to right below:

1. New Testament in German (I hope I guessed right) English printed in 1877 by the New York American Bible Society. I do not see any marks or writing in this book.

2. Textbook of Cooking copyright 1915 By Carlotta C. Greer and published by Norwood Press. Two names and addresses in front endpaper and a recipe on the second endpaper. Light pencil marks in a few spots to adjust recipes and 2 pages have some brown stains most likely from food and not from foxing. Binding is loose but this book is a very good reading copy.

3. Medieval and Modern History copyright 1885 by P.V.N. Myers and published by Ginn & Company, Publishers 1904 some light notes on front endpaper with previous owners name and light notes on inside of back board. No other marks or notes were noticed. This book is really interesting and the notes reveal the lawless practices of the people at the time this book was written.

4. The Round Up copyright 1908 by and published by G. W. Dillingham Company this book is in Good to Fair conditon as it is an excellent reading copy that has a loose binding but still holding up well.

5. 54-40 or Fight copyright 1909 By Emerson Houge dedicated to Thedore Roosevelt (see picture). This book is in Good to Fair condition as it is an excellent reading copy with a loose binding but still holding up really well.

6. The Pirate of Panama copyright 1914 By G. W. Dillingham Company. Published by New York Grosset & Dunlap Publishers. This book is also in Good to Fair condition as it is an excellent reading copy with a loose binding but still holding up really well.

7. Gullivers Travels by Johnathan Swift published by The Goldsmith Company (see Picture) I don't see any dates for copyright or printing. This book is in Fair condition as it is an excellent reading copy and the binding is loose and will need to be repaired soon. The pages of this book are browning more than the last 3 and with no dates to go by this may be the first printing and first edition of this book.

8. This book is a see picture only as it is not in English it was printed in 1889 and has a library card in the back top line says Etlar and the one below it says Herberts Kronike. A solid copy the first two pages are starting to tear from wear and are held into the binding by the top half all the other pages are holding up well another excellent reading copy if you know the language.

9. This book is another see picture only as it is not in English it has a copyright of 1912 by Concordia Publishing House, St. Louis Mo. I am guessing this is Luthers Catachism in German. Solid excellent reading copy the stains shown in the picture are very light so the text is still readable in the three pages it goes through.

I am selling these books and others that I purchased intending to read or sell when the time was right. Comes from a smoke free home. I will take more pictures and email them to anyone interested in these books.
