Up for your consideration is a very nice copy of the beautifully reproduced and designed collection of still production photographs, “Metropolis: Un Film de Fritz Lang” taken by Horst von Harbou during the production of Fritz Lang's 1927 UFA cinematic masterpiece "Metropolis".  This First Edition book was published in France by the Centre National de la Photographie in 1985.

 

145 pages, about 120 still plates from the film starring Brigitte Helm and Gustav Frohlich. Includes text by Claude-Jean Philippe, Alain Bergala, Luis Bunuel, Enno Patalas and Bernard Eisenschitz. A wonderful book in the excellent Centre National de la Photographie "Photo Copies" series. All text is in French. This book is rare and uncommon.

 

CONDITION: The bottom left corner is “bumped” and somewhat dented (see photos); otherwise it’s in fine condition.
