Here for you real connoiseurs of pre-columbian sculpure we have a large (over 12" tall) Jalisco hollow tomb figure (Ameca style) from western Mexico. It dates from the early pre-classic period (about 200 BC - 100 AD) and is made of a buff clay covered in a red slip. It is hollow and you can hear the sand pour down the inside of the piece if you invert it. This artifact is completely intact with no resoration. I bought this from the late Ben Ward of Houston, Texas in about 1989 and it has been in my collection since then. It is guarranteed authentic. The size and detail on this piece are truly museum grade. These are rare complete and in this size so I know you all will understand my starting bid. This is a real treasure. Thank you for looking! I do combine shipping! Insurance is recommended but not mandated.
