SHELLEY ART DECO REGENT HANDPAINTED POLKA DOT TEA TRIO

Handpainted green with grey printed polka dot pattern, finished with grey rims on white ground - pattern number 12211 which was entered into the pattern book 1933c

Fully backstamped

These were retailed by Lawleys, Regent Street and all pieces carry the additional Lawleys stamp

In good condition

No chips, cracks or crazing

Unfortunately the cup has 3 hairlines, the first is tight and clear running along side the handle extending from the rim and stops approximately 2cm from the base - please see 3rd photograph for the most noticeable area.  The second is opposite the handle, again tight and clear and runs approximately 3cm from the rim.  The third is also tight and runs 0.5cm above the base only seen in a small area to the exterior.  Despite these the cup still displays very well as the hairlines are only seen under close inspection

The saucer and side plate have a couple of feint surface scratches which are only seen in the right light

No colour loss or wear, the colours remain bright and china bright
