Strelitzia Reginae: This is the best known of the Birds of Paradise - with leathery leaves to 3', trunkless and clumping; the flowers are in bracts shaped like a bird's beak yet with various colors of green, purple, red, orange, yellow, and blue. All Strelitzias are tropical and may be grown indoors in bright light and warmth.

Strelitzia reginae is an easy plant to grow in the garden. They are very tolerant plants and will thrive in most soils and can survive with very little water once established. The plants are also wind resistant and grow well in coastal gardens. They are sensitive to cold and would need a sheltered position in areas with frost as the flowers and leaves are often damaged by frost. In very cold climates it is better to grow them in pots that could be moved indoors when freezing temperatures are expected.

Comes with planting instructions in a bubble wrap envelope.
