This is a butter knife, silverplate, in the Grape aka Vineyard pattern (circa 1906) by Hibbard Spencer Bartlett & Co. - Our Very Best in Chicago. The maker was also known as Lakeside J.C. Humes Rockford or Williams. It features a bunch of grapes on the end with some vines criss-crossing around the handle. It's really beautiful, and knives in this pattern are hard to find. I also have forks and spoons in this pattern which will be listed separately, and knives in the Vineyard Variation pattern (very similar, goes together easily), and also more silverplate in another grape pattern called Vintage by International/1847 Rogers Brothers. The knives are in good condition, with some scratches on the blade but nothing significant at all. The plate is in good condition. Please ask if you have questions. |
