Here's a beautiful late 18th/early 19th century cane with a beautiful Rose Quartz handle and a wide silver collar (before the time when silver was marked "sterling". There are decorations and hallmarks on the collar but they are too faint to make-out. The cane is in surprisingly good condition for its age with little crazing. The ferrule seems to be made of  bone or darker quartz or some other mineral and is long as was the custom in the 18th and early part of the 19th century when most roads were unpaved. It's clearly a dress cane, and has retained much of its original beauty. A real find and a very good investment. Complete and tight.
