About LLvintage:
LLvintage is a family antiques and collectibles business that has been run for 30+ years. It is mainly a one man operation, but in the early days, my father, sister, and mother(who tolerated all the junk around the house) were definitely helpful in the starting of my business and in the operations. I am now assisted by my wife, and my children.
We do business the Old fashioned American way, we work hard for every penny we make. 95% of the material we offer is found at estate and garage sales. It comes from other peoples' homes who had accumulated the items during their lifetime and no longer are in need of them. We try hard to find the next caretakers of those items.
Until the internet came along, I rarely dealt in anything that wasn't at least 25 years old, and for the most part, the average age of items in my inventory is before WWII. The era in history that I came to love and embrace is from the American Civil War up to WWII.
Times have changed, and so to be relevant with the times, our business had to change as well. I am proud to say that I never once purchased for resale, a beanie baby or collector plate. I felt that they had no intrinsic value. I try to sell things that have good value, and from my core inventory, has historical value. However, from time to time, we do offer some newer items that have a relatively good following, oftentimes we are not well versed in those items, but try to explain them condition and material wise to the best of our ability.
You will often see quite a mixed bag of items that are being offered on my ebay page. This is what you would see if you came to shop my booth at an antiques show. People ask what I deal in, my response is pretty much anything that is moral and legal. However.......
LLvintage specializes in Americana, especially ephemera(paper goods, postcards, photography, prints, periodicals and publications) We also have a relatively deep knowledge in railroad goods, breweriana, general advertising, pre WWII automobile related items, and some sports items , specializing in Minnesota Professional and Big Ten Football related sports items, especially Minnesota Gophers.
We truly love antiques, the stories that go with them, the discovery of an old treasure, and the part in history that they represent.
We believe in honesty, integrity, and straight forward business dealing which leads to repeat customer sales. We prefer personal contact with our buyers, but the market has changed over the years and selling goods at antiques shows is no longer what it used to be, so we adapted to selling on line. We try to be as personal as possible selling on line.
As a customer you can expect:
Items represented to the best of our ability
A timely transaction to the best of our ability.
Service with a smile. That means that we want to make 99% of the people smile, 99% of the time. We realize that you just cannot please 100% of the people all of the time, but we will try hard to at least get a grin out the most fussiest customers. Sometimes we fail(we are human), but we always try to make the situation right after failure is acknowledged.
Shipping:
Our handling time is three business days.
Immediate payment with Paypal does not mean that your package goes out immediately. Sometimes we need the three business days to get it right, Small packages usually go out quicker, sometimes on the next day. We often need the extra days to get the larger packages out.
We ship every package with the thought in mind that it will arrive undamaged. We can proudly say that you could only count the damaged items on one hand , of the thousands of packages we have sent all over the world. We take the ultimate care in sending to the correct address and packaging items correctly.
As a customer, you pay for a level of service from the USPS that we have no control over. Over the past few years, the USPS has been erratic, at times good, and other times, just plain terrible. We apologize in advance for those who are recipients of bad USPS service.
