This is a solid oak dresser and mirror, crafted in Belgium, featuring the classic style of Louis XVI. Notice the incredible bronze decoration, molded in flowers and vases, and garlands overflowing. There are two large vases on the front two doors, with garlands flowing down the sides of the dresser, and arching over the top of the mirror. Even the handles are mega decorated. The marble top and splash were quarried in the Ardennes in Belgium, and this color of marble is no longer available, so that makes this dresser set even more valuable. You have plenty of storage room behind the two large doors, and the two drawers. Notice the beautifu raised panels on the two front doors. This is a totally quality crafted piece. One thing that is super interesting is that you can see the date that is written on the back of the mirror 21/9/25, which translates into September 21st, 1925. The mirror is original to the piece, and validates the date of the piece. The measurements are 20.5" deep, 33" tall to the top of the dressing table and 45/5" wide, and 72.5" tall to the top of the mirror. IN7-100.
We would like to suggest another use for this dresser that
we have done in several homes and it works great. This dresser would be a
wonderful bathroom sink vanity. It is fairly easy to have the marble
cut and a sink inserted underneath the marble. We have included a
picture of one of the dressers where we have cut the marble and inserted
and sink and faucet as well--it looks fabulous in a bathroom--just a suggestion
:)
