BB3028 GOTHIC STYLE ANTIQUE CARVED THRONE ARMCHAIR



Description

 

We are pleased to be offering this beautiful Spanish style throne chair in antique walnut to you today.  Dating from the early 1900's, this good looking chair has carved pinwheel arms that have little pinwheels carved into both sides of the arms held up by multi spindle posts and go down into a detailed block type claw foot.  Wonderful cross stretcher with flowers carved in and pierced carved, and is finished off with multi turn spindle block and spindle cross stretchers.  The overall size of the chairs is 25 inches wide across the arms, 27 inches deep, has a really tall back of 46 inches, and the height of the seat is 18 inches.  The fabric is period, came with the chair and depicts hunting scenes and maidens and soldiers riding through the woods.  On the seat, there is a well worn spot, but overall still in useable condition.  The chair itself is finished in an antique dark walnut stain and shows some wear on the arms from age.  This is a nice looking turn of the century chair.  Enjoy the auction and have fun.
