Please bear in mind that while shipping costs seem high, it is the post office that is getting this money, not me. Postage, packing materials and boxes continue to rise in price, not to mention the gas required to take your item to the post office in a timely manner. Insurance alone absorbs $1.75 of that cost. Thanks for understanding. If you want delivery in 2-3 days, select Priority Mail. DO NOT complain about shipping time, if you chose Parcel Post to save money. DO NOT expect me to ship Priority if you only wish to pay for Parcel Post or Media Mail. If you purchase books or other media do not ask for quicker shipping if you do not want to pay for it. Media Mail is less expensive. However, it does take longer. If I have quoted you media mail DO NOT ask me to ship it Priority, unless you are prepared to pay for this additional service.
If You Purchase a Fragile, Valuable or Easily Damaged Item, Insurance Is Automatically included in the Postage Quoted Insurance is included because the Post Office does occasionally lose & damage packages. I do not wish to be responsible for Post Office loss or mishandling. I do not want you to be without recourse, if your item is damaged by mishandling or lost in the mail. I pack very carefully and do not skimp on wrapping or try to mail in too small of a box. I have never had an item damaged because of inadequate packing. My shipping may be a little higher but your item will not arrive broken. I try to keep costs as low as possible without compromising packaging. My handling fees are just enough to cover packing materials. Insurance is no longer Optional However, remember that once the package leaves my house, I cannot control the post office. For this reason, Insurance is included in your shipping charges. I take the utmost care to make sure my items are packed carefully and can withstand most handling. However, I cannot control the USPS. If an item is lost, it is insured. As a seller I have never had a problem with the exception of one lost package, which finally reappeared a month later and fortunately the buyer was very patient. I have, however, had problems with items I have purchased, arriving broken or never arriving. Whether or not it may have been the seller I will never know, but I was glad the package was insured in each of those instances. Listings are Carefully Described All listings are carefully described to the best of our ability. We are “describaholics.” If a defect is missed, it so minor we did not see it. We attempt to describe and photograph to the best of our ability, so you know what you are buying. Most items were either purchased by us, gifted to us or inherited. We take very good care of our home and personal possessions. We are not dealers or scammers. Read ad carefully as what you see is what you get. There are no returns. I have made two exceptions and each time I was scammed. – Never again! Do not ask – Read carefully. Once you buy it, it is yours. Combined Shipping Combined shipping is available. All items must be paid for on same invoice. No after-the-fact fancy math. All items must be purchased within three days of each other and invoiced together to have combined shipping. Do Not ask for favors. However, do let us know, if you are bidding on more than one item and want us to wait for the second item to close to combine shipping. Best Offer… If my item has “Best Offer” listed next to the asking price, Please do not insult me by offering one third to one quarter of the listing price. I do have some idea of the value of the items I have listed. If you do not want to pay the listing price and would like to offer a reasonable compromise, I will be most interested in considering your offer and may well accept it, as long as it is a reasonable offer. Please understand that while you may think a “4” is a good rating but E-Bay penalizes sellers who do not receive all “5”s. Even though E-Bays rates 4’s as “Accurate” “Satisfied,” “Quickly” & “Reasonable.” They turn around and lower our ratings, lower us in search rankings and raise our fees. You may think we will not know, but we can tell who is giving the lower ratings. If you follow your ratings, you know when they go down and who just posted. It is not as anonymous as you may think. It almost always has to do with the post office delivery and/or unreasonable expectations. 1. We strive for accurate sometimes overly detailed descriptions. If there is a flaw, it will be described and photographed, unless we did not or cannot see it. Please choose “5.” 2. We strive for good communications – If we need to reach you, we will call or send an e-mail. If packing or mailing is delayed we will let you know. If you purchase is routine, we will not bother you.
