BEAUTIFUL WHITE CARRARA MARBLE ANGEL STATUES c1901

You are bidding on one pair (two angels) of white carrara marble Daprato Rigali, "Adoration Angels" which are family heirlooms handed down to us as part of our parents estate art collection.  Based on my late father's research, these angels were made c 1901 for a church in upstate New York.  These angels are in fantastic condition for their age (over 108 years old).  They are made from the same quarry of white carrara marble from Italy, as used for Michaelangelo's famous works. 

I contacted Daprato Rigali Studios twelve years ago and they were very helpful in dating these statues from their 1901 catalogue.  They also provided me with a letter stating the replacement value at that time, would be $50,000 per statue.   I have enclosed a scanned image of this letter here in this listing (see photo gallery), successful bidder will receive a copy.  Please keep in mind, these statues are antiques, now over 100 years old and once adorned a place of worship.  Only serious bidders please.

The angels stand approximately 50" high - you can say they are 'lifesize' and would make an exquisite gift for an angel collector or a wonderful addition to anyone's personal art collection, a most generous  eternal/memorial bequest to a beautiful church or cathedral to honor your family name, a fine addition to a museum, mausoleum, sanctuary, holy place, castle or estate property grounds, etc.
