Thank you for checking out my Gravely Graveyard. For your consideration, I have a Gravely 8122 Lawn Tractor (S/N 00553994). However, if my memory serves me correctly, it started out life as an 8123, with a 60” (5’) mower deck, 30” (2.5’) rear PTO driven rototiller and a 48” (4’) snowplow. Additionally, there is another front end of a similar (same model?) Gravely lawn tractor, an extra 48” (4’) smaller mower deck, many additional and spare parts including, but not limited to: hydraulic lines and assemblies, PTO shafts and transfer case for the rototiller, snow plow weights mounted on the front tires of the tractor, rear frame and lift extension and additional parts as seen in the pictures provided. Tractor controls include: Choke Lever, Light Switch, Ignition Switch, Throttle Lever, Manual Deck Lift Lever, PTO Control Lever, Hi / Lo Range Selector, 4 Gear Selection, Directional Control Lever and Foot Brake. Equipment is being AS IS with a low reserve. If you need these Gravely parts or equipment, you will know what all of this is worth. Please contact me to set up an appointment if you would like to inspect the equipment prior to the end of the sale.
We used to use this equipment to maintain our +/-3 acre residential property. If you have owned Gravely equipment, you know that they are a solid, reliable and well-built (almost bullet-proof) machine. At some point after I left home for the service, my parents started using this equipment to maintain a small campground that they owned (<1 acre of mowing) and they also did a little snow plowing with it. Once I acquired the family business, I already had my own new commercial equipment and no longer need to use this Gravely equipment. I can try and answer your questions, but in all honesty, I have not had the time or inclination to try and tinker with the tractor at all. It didn’t have a battery in it when I took over the business so I haven’t tried starting it anytime recently. What I can tell you, is that our groundskeeper said that it ran fine until it was parked, but that it didn’t like to shift into reverse. It currently has a Briggs and Stratton engine installed in it, but I know that it is not the original engine that I remembered from when I was younger, however it does look like a Gravely engine. At some point, I can only assume that they acquired another Gravely tractor (8122 vs. an 8123 maybe that I remembered?) and cannibalized it for compatible parts. I also remember the tractor originally used a hydraulic lift for the mower deck, etc, but now I noticed there is a manual lever lift installed. It does, however, appear that all of the hydraulic lift parts are included, but I have no idea why they may have been removed previously. The rototiller hasn’t been used in many years and even when it was, it wasn’t ever used on a very large or rocky soil. Its parts are rusty like some of the other parts (as is seen in the pictures), however it was always stored in a shed under cover for all of its life (unlike a some of the other parts and equipment). As far as I can tell, all of the main attachments (60” three-blade mounted mower deck, manually angled snowplow and PTO-driven rototiller) seem to be complete (have all of the necessary parts), however I do not have any manuals or documentation on them. We did have a set of snow chains and rubber tensioners with clips for the rear wheels of the tractor, however I have not seen them in quite some time. If I locate them before the close of the sale, they will be included as well.
I am not interested in selling off certain parts or attachments at this time. This is strictly an AS IS, buyer takes all sale. I can deliver the equipment up to approximately 100 miles away as long as the purchase price and delivery fees ($1 a loaded mile) are paid in advance. I’ll be happy to try and answer any questions that I can. There may be additional photos available depending on how many I am allowed to post initially. I reserve the right to end the auction early as the equipment is also being advertised locally as well. Thanks for your interest!
