1977 Gucci silk tie, navy/grey striped w/boats

This tie was my fathers, 100% silk, made in Italy from 1977. It was worn probably once (he has about 500 ties?!) is in excellent condition, and has been in storage for 30 odd years. It is grey/silver and navy blue weave with small green sailboats (with a red flag and golden bottom) and has GUCCI embroidered within the fabric in small written green letters (you can see one in the close up of the bottom of the tie). Gucci with the shield is also embossed in the off white backing material of the tie. The single line looped stitching is quite loose along the back though my father says this is quite normal for that time as it is hand stitched rather than factory done.

length: 56.5"
width at bottom (widest part): 3.5"
width at top (skinny end): 2"

Postage is not marked up and is quoted directly from the Canada Post website. I have, however, added in a $1.00 P&H fee for the padded envelope so this gets to you safely. To ship to most places in the States, it would cost $3.57 regular post, 9-11 business days without tracking. For tracking, it would cost $13.55 and is guaranteed in 6 business days.

This is my personal collection (well, ok, my Fathers), I am not a dealer, but am moving abroad so sadly I have to get rid of everything. Please ask any questions you have about the merchandise, shipping or for further images PRIOR TO BIDDING as there are no refunds and I've already had a few lots go frey bentos on me cause people never asked for shipping quotes prior to winning.

BTW, please please read my feedback so you understand why the percentage is so low. I'm not a big seller so one negative hurts a lot.

Shipping to the UK/most of central Europe would cost $6.80 - this doesn't include tracking however but is insured for up to $100. With tracking, it would come to $51.00 and is also guaranteed delivery in 5 days. If I manage to get a nice lady at the post office who gives me a cheaper rate (it has happened), I will refund you the difference.

I just noticed on the tie, the smallest squiggle of a dark pen mark - am really sorry not to have noticed this prior. I have updated the picture on the front (it is to the left of the GUCCI embroider) so you can see but it is extremely faint. Of course, with this tie being in storage for so long, I would recommend a good dry clean.
