This auction is for a very rare Japanese book, published by Woodward in the United States in 1893. The book consists of 17 chemigraphs [collotypes] of different historical types of dress. Size is 10 1/2 by 14" ...There is some damage---The cover has paper loss and tears. The back cover is worn. Most of the pages have tears at the edges. One of the prints has a piece torn out. 16 of the 17 photos could be mounted without showing any damage. The prints are bright and clear, without fading. As I said, the item is complete. In spite of the condition issues this is a great portfolio with some extraordinary images....NO RESERVE. CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS MUST PAY SALES TAX UNLESS EXEMPT. CONTACT ME FOR A SHIPPING QUOTE.
