1950B U.S. FEDERAL RESERVE $10.00 *STAR* NOTE

With the LIGHT GREEN SEAL of the Federal Reserve, a must for any small note collection.    Issued during a very historic period for the United States .  The Korean War was over and the space race was just getting started.  This 1950B STAR NOTE was issued in the second term of President Dwight Eisenhower from 1957-1961.   As is usually the case with the 1950 series they don't come up very often so if you are still trying to get one of each, here's an opportunity for you.   As a STAR note it was only issued when the Burea of Engraving and Printing pulled an error note during the printing process.  They are only used as a replacement note so are much more scarce than a regular note.  They made up about 5% of the notes issued.  This note is from the Minneapolis Bank which had the fewest issued at under half a million notes.

Book value for the note is only $40.00 in Very Good, but retailers and Shop at Home TV often charge double that!   The note is sharp but with a hole and edge wear.  It has good color, is very clean, slightly crisp and shows otherwise normal use like folding, wrinkles and soiling.  It has sharp edges and corners.   Do to the wear I'd rate it at Very Good,  but you be the final judge with the photos above, which you can enlarge.
