Vought F7U U.S. Navy Cutlass built model.

Model is very nicely made and in very good condition, has a wingspan of 8” and is 8 1/2”  long. The pilots name is below the canopy on the left side “Lt. Waldrop” and all decaling looks good, has two bombs and two missiles under the wings.  There is a small bit of weathering on the top of the intakes giving it a used appearance. Tail letter “G” , No. 66300, NAVY on  the tail.

The Chance Vought F7U Cutlass was an interesting aircraft in many ways. For one, the aircraft was the direct result of American research into the jet designs and technologies of the Arado company - the German aircraft firm that was responsible for various jet-powered aircraft just before the fall of the Third Reich. With its unique design, the F7U Cutlass was to become the US Navy's premiere carrier-based fighter.
