Here's a nice California National Guard honor award badge for 100 percent drill attendance, with a bar for 1948. Similar in overall appearance to an Army marksmanship badge, except that it has a California bear in the center with sun rays in the background and a California poppies around the outside. Silver plate, hallmarked J. Dennison & Co., Riverside, RI. Excellent strike with great detail. See illustration.
