Beautiful Diamond Stud Earrings 2.33 - 2.50 CTW

Offered for sale are a beautiful pair of Diamond Stud earrings.  I have enjoyed these earrings, but must sell them now.  I bought them online at an Overstock Live Auction and will include the paperwork from that sale.

According to the document that I received when I bought the earrings, they are 2.50 CTW.  However, today I had them at a jewelery store and was told that 2.33 CTW might be more accurate.  The earrings are set in 14K white gold.  I was told that the color is I-J and the clarity is I1.

Although the color is good, the clarity is not so good.  They appear  white in color, but they are not as clear as I would have liked.  I would say that they are somewhat cloudy.  This is certainly not as obvious as it would be in a ring where people see a stone very close up.  In fact, I have had people say that earring quality stones generally are not as fine as diamonds used in rings.  That said, I have received many compliments on the earrings and they do sparkle.  I may be more critical, but I want to describe them accurately.  The jeweler who looked at them for me said that he felt that they were a very well matched pair.  There are no inclusions visible with the naked eye, however there are many small inclusions, predominately white, which are causing the cloudiness.  He also commented on the fairness of my beginning bid.

These earrings are offered for sale "as is" unless I have not described them properly.  If you look at my feedback, you will see that you can rely on my honesty and can buy with confidence.  Earrings pictured  in the first 3 pictures are the ones that you would receive.  ****The last picture is one that I use to compare the studs for sale (left) to some that are of higher quality.  I hope that this will give a true picture of the earrings.  As you will see, the color is good.  The stud on the right is color G-H.  The quality is very good on that one.  The stud on the left (the ones for sale) are I-J color, but are not  as clear; however, you can see that they do sparkle nicely.  To get a stud that large for this price, you must sacrifice something.  Clarity is something that a person would have to get up very close to notice.

  I am not offering a full appraisal due to the cost of obtaining one.  I have listed above the carat size, color and clarity ratings provided by a jeweler.  I am offering these at substantially less than I paid due to clarity issues.  As I mentioned, they are still a beautiful pair of diamond studs - great size and super price.
