1994 JPI Starr Model Agency Set/6 Funwear Collection

From my personal collection, this Starr Model Agency Funwear Collection complete series of six adult-figured fashion dolls was put out by Jakks Pacific in 1994.  The dolls are Amber (redhead/green eyes), Dawn (blonde/blue eyes), Toya (black hair/brown eyes), Starr (platinum blonde/blue eyes), Taylor (brown hair/hazel eyes), and Misty (auburn hair/brown eyes).  Each of the six dolls has a different skintone.  Their faces are painted in meticulous detail, they're 6 1/2" tall, and are jointed at the neck, shoulders, waist, and knees.  (Knees are bendable.)  In effect, each doll has two outfits, since when the skirt is removed, there's a swimsuit underneath, and each has a pair of high-heeled pumps in a color coordinating with her outfit, stand, purse, hairbrush, comb, and a portfolio containing tiny modelling photos.  There's also a biography card included in each doll's box with a very detailed history of her life!  These are great dolls, so detailed in every way and very well-made.  The clothing fastens with snaps, not Velcro.  (I do have one that I removed from her box years ago, which is why I'm able to tell you this much about the doll, clothing, and contents.)  I believe this series was based on the idea of the Dawn dolls that were popular in the 1960's-1970's.

I'm the original owner, and handpicked these dolls myself at the store.  Dolls have never been removed from the box, and the boxes themselves are in excellent condition. (Amber's box does have one vertical slit in the side of the window right next to the edge of the cardboard.  This was apparently caused by a store employee using a box cutter to open the shipping case, but the contents of the box were not affected at all and are in perfect, mint condition.)  I've had these dolls stored in a covered box in a bedroom closet all these years; smoke-free, pet-free home.

I'm having to liquidate items from my longtime personal collection to pay rent/utilities due to work hours/hourly pay having been cut by my employers, so I sincerely appreciate all bids.
