Superman-Batman, & Robin DC Comics No.96 1958

Up for your consideration is a World's Finest Comics "The Super-Foes from Planet X!" comic book.  This comic features Superman, Batman, and Robin.  This book is No. 96, dated 1958.  This comic was published by National Comics Publications, Inc.  I personally do not know a lot about comics.  I will do my best to describe what I think anyone interested would want to know.  I have checked other listings in order to know what to mention.  So here goes:  This comic book looks to be in very good to excellent used condition.  The front and back covers show minor wear consistent with age.  The front cover has three clean breaks up by the 10 cent area, these look like slices but they do not go all the way through so I call them clean breaks, as it does not appear to be a fold and it does not go all the way through to be considered a cut or tear.  The back cover did not have any folds, tears or creases.  Please enlarge the pictures as you should be able to see condition.  There is no writting on either front or back cover, or in the book.  The book looks to be in  very good to excellent condition as well.  There are no tears, folds, creases, stains or writting in the book.  There are 16 pages in this book.  When I say pages, I mean one page, two sides.  There may be chipping to the top, bottom, outside edge or staple side of cover and book.  I flipped through and all the pages look to be intact.  Light aging/discoloration which is normal for its age.  Staples are clean and secure.  This book lies flat.    

There may be light reflections which would only be from taking the pictures.

This item is from the personal collection of my brother whom we lost in December 2008.  He was a collector of many things which I will be selling in the future as time allows.  He worked for channel TV 25 for many years in and around the 1970’s.  He also was the graphic art designer for Carr’s Signs in Flint, Michigan.  

We will be selling comics at this time.  My brother had upwards to 5,900 comics which he had collected since he was a young boy right up to the present in Dec. 2008.  He was born in 1941 and my mother said he saved and took care of any and all comics he received or purchased.  He wrote on some of the comic slips information he wanted to keep track of.  Most of the comics have been stored in Comic Covers made of 100% Virgin Polyethylene.  Then filed in long boxes or file cabinets.    

With the rising cost of shipping I try to keep my items at a lower starting price with no reserve.  As insurance can no longer be offered it will be included in shipping and handling.  We will be shipping the comic books in padded envelopes, sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard taped with masking tape.
