• This is a very rare original pair of German WWII 10 x 50 binoculars made in Vichy France under German occupation. • The right side is marked “7 x 50 HUET PARIS 262 Dienstglas”. As you probably know, “Dienstglas” is a German word meaning “Service Glass” and was what the Germans called their binoculars in WWI and WWII. • I purchased these from the niece of the WWII vet who brought these glasses back. She said he was in an armored unit that fought with General Patton but knew no other history. I also purchased a nice SA dagger and some other items that can’t be sold on eBay. • These are done in the standard German WWII ordnance tan paint with most of the paint remaining. • The optics are quite clean with one side mint and the other only a bit hazy. However, they do need to be recalibrated to view exactly the same spot. I have taken photos through both sides so you may rely on not having a "surprise" as is so common on eBay. • These are the type of binoculars issued to panzer tank commanders and to higher ranking Army, Navy and Luftwaffe officers. • These are large binoculars with a wide field of view and measure 9 1/4” long. • The exterior of the binoculars has most of the paint remaining as seen in the close up photos. The Bakelite eye cups are perfect-no cracks or chips. • Right now on eBay I have some other good German WWI and WWII era optics. These include a WWII Leitz 10x50 binoculars, a WWII dated case for these same 10x50 binoculars, and an extremely rare WWII sniper’s MONOCULAR (Like a binocular but made with only one side). • This is a very rare original pair of German WWII 10 x 50 binoculars made in Vichy France under German occupation. • The right side is marked “7 x 50 HUET PARIS 262 Dienstglas”. However, they do need to be recalibrated to view exactly the same spot. The optics inside are very clean and clear so the recalibration should be fairly easy.
