• This is an original German WWII case for a pair of 10 x 50 binoculars in excellent condition showing light use and no abuse. • The fittings and case body excellent, sturdy and complete. It is very sturdy and has been well taken care of. • The all-important leather hinge is intact and is only missing some of the surface finish. You could put some shoe polish on it if you wish. I leave antiques as they are so you won’t be “surprised” by unannounced “restoration efforts” as is common on eBay. • The pull strap works well and the white stitching is tight and complete. Again, there is no shoe polish or tampering to this item; it is 100% untouched as it came from the veterans estate. • The body is dated “1943” and is Waffenampt inspected as seen in the photos. The lid has places inside for filters. • Right now on eBay I have some other good German WWI and WWII era optics.
