MILITARY PAYMENT 25 & 50 CENT  CERTIFICATES

GOOD to FINE

The series 472 MPCs were issued in Europe and the Far East from March 1948 just before the Korean War until June 1951.  MPCs were issued to military personnel to help curtail blackmarketing.  It was good in military facilities like clubs and post exchanges.   This pair of notes would have bought a couple burgers and beers in many clubs for a soldier!

Book value for the notes is $15.00 but retailers and Shop at Home TV often charges double that!   The notes have no writing, ink, holes, etc.  Each has good color, fairly firm and each shows light use.  The 25 Cent MPC has a missing corner while the 50 Cent has full edges and corners and they both have decent colors.   The 50 Cent note is the nicer.   I'd rate them at Very Good to Fine,  but you be the final judge with the photos which can be enlarged.
