Art Deco Bronze Lady Figure - Cymbal Dancer by Limousin

Description

This is a beautiful piece of Art Deco sculpture.  It is French C1920s and is full of movement and vibrancy.  The pictures speak for them selves, but this lady has a wonderful pose and has the typical 1920's bobbed haircut.

She is holding two bronze or brass cymbals and is wearing a very loose tunic which is almost floating in the wind.  This piece stands on a polished alabaster or marble base which almost looks like a burr walnut, but it is certainly marble.  It is also an unusual bullet shape.

Although she is unsigned she is almost certainly by Limousin. Not all their pieces were signed, but alot of the women by Limousin have the same facial features and bobbed hairstyle.

Condition: Very good - some wear the Green over bronze patina commensurate with age anda couple of very minor chips to the bullet shaped marble base - none of which detracts from the beauty of this lovely Art Deco bronze. A rare piece!

Size: Approximately 16 inches tall

If you are looking for a genuine Art Deco period bronze you will not find better value than this.  It is a stunning example of French Art Deco sculpture which will add a touch of class and drama to any Art Deco themed interior.

Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll try my best to help. Don't forget to take a look at my other items.
