NM : Like new, one or two light paper scuffs. 

VG+ : Record shows signs of being played, light scuffs and light surface scratches.

VG : Record shows signs of being well played but still in nice condition. Scuffs and light scratches with possible light surface noise & light pops.

G : Record shows wear, lots of light scuffs and scratches with surface noise and pops possible.
