Here is your chance to own a must-have cd. If you like that U.K. progressive sound from the late '60's - early '70's then McDonald And Giles is a must! Former King Crimson members Ian McDonald & Michael Giles recorded this set shortly after leaving the British prog-rock group in 1969. They enlisted the help of Traffic vocalist / keyboardist Steve Winwood and released this album in 1970. Songs like 'Flight of the Ibis' & 'Is She Waiting' were standard pop fare of the time, but "Birdman" was the obligatory album side long track that is the set's focal point. Allegedly, Robert Fripp wanted the song for King Crimson's "In The Wake Of Poseidon" and paid homage to the track on his first solo album "Exposure". McDonald in later years co-founded Foreigner and Giles went on to become a session player. Their moment in time still stands as a favorite of prog rockers worldwide. King Crimson is a band that always has worked around tricks and illusions to give the music such a grand scale that it seems impossible.  McDonald And Giles is King Crimson taken away from demanding rule books of "the album" and the tricks turned in for joie de vivre.  The album doesn't have the lasting power of KC classics (like Lizard) but is much superior to Poseidon.  It's amazing to see such musicianship and imagination on display with only 2/5 of the original KC line-up (although everyone except Fripp contributes here).  While the album is always a great experience it doesn't have the power to stay alive after many listens, however "Flight of the Ibis" is one of the greatest songs of all time and is worth seeking out alone.  All the dark sorcery of KC was put into that one magical gem on this album.

This cd is brand new, factory shrinkwrapped, never played and is NOT a cut out or defaced in anyway. This cd is on the Virgin recording label and comes with a nice insert with a great bio of the band, pictures and song lyrics.

Q. How much is combined shipping?

A. If you live in the U.S.A. the first class rate is $2.80 for the first cd and $1.35 for each cd after. 4 cd or more jewel cased cd's will be shipped Priority Mail in a box. Media mail is available on orders of three cd's or more; the price is $4.75 for three cd's and $1.15 for each one after. All U.S. parcels will have delivery confirmation.

If you live in Canada the rate is $3.40 for the first cd and $1.70 for each cd after. 4 or more jewel cased cd's will be shipped in a box. Shipping without jewel cases is available for orders of 2 or more cd's. The shipping rate is $4.10 for the first two cd's and $1.20 for each one after. Digipak's, mini lp's or any cardboard cased cd's are not eligible.

If you live in any other countries the rate is $5.65 for the first cd and $3.40 for each cd after. 4 or more jewel cased cd's will be shipped in a box. Shipping without jewel cases is available for orders of 2 or more cd's. The shipping rate is $6.30 for the first two cd's and $1.80 for each one after. Digipak's, mini lp's or any cardboard cased cd's are not eligible.

Shipping rates are firm and not negligible. Some countries like Italy and Brazil packages may take up to 50 days to clear customs. Please be patient your item will arrive. Duty fees depend on the country and are your responsibility.

Q. When will my music be shipped?

A. Parcels are shipped immediately after payment is received. We ship daily expect Sunday and want you to receive you music quickly. Notice, if your eBay and Paypal account address's are different your order will be delayed until proper instructions are received.

Feedback is given at time of shipping. This gives you date of shipment.
