We have here TWO $5.00* STAR FRN notes with SERIAL NUMBERS THAT ARE SEQUENTIAL!   $5.00 Federal Reserve STAR Notes of 2006 in Crisp GEM Uncirculated condition, a real addition to any small note collection.  Check out these photos, all of which you can enlarge.  They were signed by President Bush's last Secretary of the Treasury Henry Paulson who took office in 2007 just over 24 months ago and he left last January.  They were printed with a date of 2006 even though they were printed in 2008, so this series is unusual in that reguard and as always, STAR notes are even scarcer.  Star notes are only issued to replace faulty notes pulled in the printing process.

Book value for all these notes is yet to be determined, but retailers and Shop at Home TV often charge much more than book values because GEM uncirculated notes are so hard to find.  Based on previous series it is safe to say the minimum value will be around $35 for each of these GEM notes.  These notes are free of holes, writing, ink, stains etc.   They are perfect specimens of the new style colorized US Currency.  They were only released recently and were printed at the Fort Worth Texas printing facility for the Boston Fed Bank.
