No molds are used when we make marbles.  Because of this, each marble is truly a work of art!  

Handmade marbles at times have a slightly irregular shape.  Rather than a defect, it is a sign that the marble was truly handspun without the use of molds or wooden/graphite rounders.  Over time this method of making a marble will command much higher prices.  Many handmade marbles also contain a pontil mark.  This mark is unique to each marble, and identifies a marble in a way similar to how fingerprints identify a person.  A pontil mark also assures the collector of a handspun marble.  We have included many pictures so you can examine the marble from all angles.    rous pictures of the marble so you can see it from many different angles.

Bloomingdale Glass Artisans is a small glass studio in a rural community formerly known as Bloomingdale in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  Our artisans have been working with glass in many different forms for over 25 years.  We specialize in stained glass lamps of all shapes and sizes.  We have an array of fused glass pieces, and we have many blown glass works.  All Glass items are made the traditional old-fashioned way.  

All of our marbles are made with the highest quality Pyrex glass.  All colors are made with high quality Pyrex colored rods.  Fuming is a common method we also use to add color to our marbles.  Bloomingdale Glass Artisans often use .999 silver or 24-carat gold to add color and depth to a piece through fuming.  In very light coats, silver produces whites, greens, and blues.  Gold produces reds and yellows.  The combination of the two precious metals produces interesting patterns of infinite colors.  Bloomingdale Glass Artisans uses Ebay to share its art with a large audience.   Thank you for your support.
