Old Sunny Jim Peanut Butter Tin Can~2Lb Krunchy Vintage

Up for sale is an old Peanut Butter Tin found on a shelf in an old barn.  We are not sure exactly how old it is.  It is Sunny Jim Krunchy Peanut Butter in a 36 oz can, from Pacific Food Products Company in Seattle, WA.  It has some wear and tear on the original design, small scratches on the design, one faint dent (it actually looks worse in the picture than it really is), and just an itty bit of rust.  Overall, it is in fairly good condition.

History of Sunny Jims:  When Germanus Wilheim Firnstahl came to Seattle from Wisconsin in 1920 he brought along an idea that has become a highly successful reality in the Pacific Northwest: Sunny Jim Peanut Butter. Starting in a small plant on Westlake which occupied 300 square feet and employed six persons, Firnstahl manufactured peanut butter, much of which he sold at Seattle's Pike Place Market. He named his product line after his son, Lowell Firnstahl, who died in 1933 as the result of a high school football injury. It is Lowell Firnstahl's picture which appears on the Sunny Jim label. From its first plant Pacific Food Products moved to another location on Westlake, and from there to a site on Weller Street in 1937 the firm moved into its'  home at 4200 Airport Way South . The plant has since burned down.
