Carefully read once, by my husband.  He's only had it a week, but couldn't put it down and read the whole thing in a couple of days--all 470 pages.  Still in new condition.  No bent corners, marks, tears, etc., including the dustjacket.  As perfect as it would be straight from the bookstore, so it would be a great gift.  FIRST EDITION.
