French Jet is Black Glass, Carved and Faceted to look like genuine Jet. It was used quite a bit during the Victorian age when Mourning Jewelry came into fashion. This fine 28 inch long necklace is a French Jet Mourning Necklace from the late 1800's. Each faceted bead is approx 6mm in size.
